Medical Appointments Can Set Us Back

I’ve had a string of medical appointments lately, and I’ll be honest—I’m exhausted.

Each visit takes something out of me. And not all of them give something back.

That’s what this week’s Livestream was about.

We’re often told to “follow up,” “see this specialist,” “get this checked out”—as if medical care is always helpful, always neutral.

But it’s not. So I spent an hour explaining my recent string of appointments.

I explain:

  • the framework I use to decide if a new doctor’s appointment is worthwhile

  • how I prepare

  • how I recover

  • how I integrate new information to move my recovery forward.

I also share the mistakes I made this time around, and how I’m going (to try) to avoid them in the future.
